What Does Dime Dime Baby Mean? The Meme Behind the Bby Wow Dance
Dime Dime Baby means 'tell me, tell me, baby' in Spanish. Here's how the phrase became the name of the viral quinceañera dance, and how it relates to Bby Wow.
"Dime Dime Baby" is Spanish for "tell me, tell me, baby." On TikTok it's the name Spanish-speaking creators gave to the viral party dance that English-speaking TikTok calls the Bby Wow dance.
The literal meaning
- Dime (DEE-meh) — "tell me", from the verb decir (to say, to tell)
- Dime dime — repeated for emphasis, like a playful "come on, tell me"
- Baby — borrowed from English, common in reggaeton and Latin pop lyrics
Put together it's a flirty, teasing line — the kind of thing you'd say with a raised eyebrow. That's exactly the energy of the clip.
Why the phrase fits the dance
The meme clip shows a man at a quinceañera walking toward the camera with total confidence, biting his finger, brushing past the lens, spinning and pointing straight at the viewer. "Dime dime baby" reads like the line he'd be saying as he points at you — cheeky, confident and a little over the top.
Where the phrase was first attached to the clip isn't confirmed. It spread as a caption and search term on Spanish-speaking TikTok, and by October 2026 it was the most common Spanish name for the trend.

How to make your own Dime Dime Baby video
The popular remix swaps the dancer for someone else — a cowboy, a baby, a cat, or you. You can do it with a CapCut template (you'll usually need to film yourself) or from a single photo:
- Upload one photo of yourself, a friend who agreed, or your pet.
- The AI renders the original dance with them as the dancer.
- Download the vertical MP4 and post it with the BBY WOW sound.
