What Is the Bby Wow Trend? The Dime Dime Baby Dance Explained
Where the Bby Wow dance came from, why Spanish-speaking TikTok calls it Dime Dime Baby, the six moves, the Karol G song and how it became an AI trend.
If your For You page is full of cowboys, bodybuilders, babies and cats strutting toward the camera at a party, biting a finger and pointing at you, you've met the Bby Wow trend. Spanish-speaking TikTok calls the same meme Dime Dime Baby. Here's where it came from, why it spread and how the AI version works.
Where did the Bby Wow dance come from?
The dance comes from a short party clip filmed at a quinceañera — the 15th-birthday celebration common across Latin America and in Latino communities. In the clip a man walks into frame toward the camera with total confidence, bites his finger, passes close to the lens, spins, walks back and finishes by pointing straight at the viewer.
Explainers trace the earliest upload to July 2025. Who the man is, where the party took place and who filmed it have not been confirmed, so treat any "real identity" claims you see online with care.
Why is it called Bby Wow?
Many of the versions that went viral in September and October 2026 are set to "BBY WOW" by Karol G with Judeline and Rusowsky, which started trending in August 2026. English-speaking TikTok named the dance after the song.
Note that the original party clip carries its own "original sound", and it's not confirmed that the song was playing at the party. The name stuck anyway.
Why is it called Dime Dime Baby?
On Spanish-speaking TikTok the same clip spread under the phrase "Dime Dime Baby" — literally "tell me, tell me, baby". It works as a caption for the cheeky walk-in and finger bite. See What Does Dime Dime Baby Mean? for the full breakdown.
Bby Wow and Dime Dime Baby are the same meme. Use both hashtags when you post.
The six moves
The clip is short and every beat is readable, which is a big part of why remixes work:
- Walk-in — a slow, confident strut toward the camera
- Finger bite — the signature cheeky moment
- Close pass — the dancer brushes past the lens
- Spin — a quick turn
- Return — walking back into frame
- Point — a final point straight at the camera
Why did it go viral?
- It's real. An unscripted moment at an ordinary family party.
- It's short and loops well. Easy to rewatch, easy to copy.
- It's recognisable. The party setting and the moves read instantly, even when the dancer changes.
- It's sound-driven. TikTok groups videos by sound, so every remix fed the trend.
How did it become the Bby Wow AI trend?
Around mid-October 2026 creators started using AI to swap the dancer. An AI cowboy version was one of the first widely shared remixes, followed by CapCut tutorials showing how to make your own. The party, guests and moves stay the same; the dancer becomes a cowboy, a bodybuilder, a security guard, a baby, a pet — or you.
That remix is what people mean by "Dime Dime Baby AI" or "Bby Wow AI".
How to make your own
You don't need to film yourself or learn a template:
- Upload one clear photo of yourself or your pet (front-facing, full body or waist-up).
- Press generate — the AI renders the original dance with you as the dancer.
- Download the MP4 a few minutes later and post it with the BBY WOW sound.
